It's not everyday that you roll out of bed, stick your head out on the porch to see the world and the weather, and find yourself staring at a black bear that's decided to camp out in your back yard. It's not everyday that you roll out of bed, stick your head out on the porch to see the world and the weather, and find yourself staring at a black bear that's decided to camp out in your back yard. Today, however, was one of those days.

It was early and the light was still low, so the pictures didn't come out super crisp, but it was certainly something to capture in pixels. And we got some video too, in the first of which he bears all while having a scratching session - quite funny. Yes, he's fascinating. Yes, he's cute and cuddly looking. Hell no do I want to be stuck outside while he's around - check out his claws! But we invite you to enjoy the images and video below, from the very safe distance of your homes.
